Bug description

When left-clicking a window on the grouped window list that has a (modal) dialog open, the window and dialog are not focused and brought into view. instead, nothing happens until i move my mouse up and click the preview of the window.

Steps to reproduce

  1. Make sure that in settings --> general of the grouped window list, left-click action is set to toggle activation of last focused window.
  2. open an application that uses a (modal) dialog, e.g. Nemo.
  3. open the dialog in that application (for the Nemo case for example by clicking Help --> About Nemo)
  4. Minimize the application that has the dialog open (this does work by left-clicking in the window list) or open another application on top of it
  5. left-click the window in the grouped window list --> the application is not brought into view.

Expected behavior

left-clicking a window in the window list activates it, no matter if a modal dialog is open or not.

Additional information

The same happened to an application that previously had a modal dialog open, but that dialog was already closed when i wanted to activate the window. I don't know what happened in that case, but opening and closing another dialog fixed it.
