Not long ago I started this draft migration of what we had in 0.2 with @thinkall #3879

I think it would be useful to think about a storage abstraction that we can share between memory and information retrieval.

Going forward, when a new abstraction is needed, let's review what SK has in terms of abstractions before creating our own.
