start-device --device-locale it_IT on android changes locale on wrong device #2209

Is there an existing issue for this?

  • I have searched the existing issues and didn't find mine.

Steps to reproduce

Connect an android physical device, or start an emulator which is not the one used by maestro.
Run the following:

maestro start-device --platform android --device-locale it_IT

Actual results

The maestro emulator starts, but the locale is changed on the other device.

Expected results

The locale is changed in the emulator started by maestro.

Android command-line tools version: 17.0
Java version: jdk19
OS: Slackware 15
Architecture: x86_64
