how to use scroll plugin with smooth-scrollbar

When using smooth-scrollbar , motion scroll event is not firing.

As per my research, smooth-scrollbar uses virtual scrolling so is it possible to somehow use scroll plugin with that?

Is there any way to update the scroll values manually without relying on the native scroll events so that whenever smooth-scrollbar scrolls we can update the motion scroll values
