I really like this plugin, however the new search feature not as good as Chrome's search. Is there a way to disable the HESH search feature? What about making it optional via a setting?

Yea, I could add an option to turn it off...
I'll add this when I do another round of updates.
I'll also need to add instructions on how to enable the full height editor so that browser search will work.
