Translation doesn't work?

I tried different languages, installed desctop app, connected it, but it doesn't translate.

at the moment, the translations dont work on the website version, but they do work on the desktop version (working on usable website version). the only supported translation service right now is downloading a DL model and caching it in the app. It does this on the first translation. It's possible that the model might be failing to download for you... I can try to look into it. But this might be a regional issue?

Does visiting https://huggingface.co/Xenova/nllb-200-distilled-600M/tree/main work? This is where the model is hosted at.

There may be an error that is related to JSON serialization and misconfiguration after a recent update.

I had this same problem, and I was able to fix it on Google Chrome by deleting the site data for https://mimiuchi.com/. Doing "Reset all settings" within mimiuchi is not enough to fix the problem.

Google Chrome:

1. Navigate to chrome://settings/content/all.

2. Search for mimiuchi.com.

3. Next to the entry mimiuchi.com, click the delete icon 🗑️ and Delete.

before you do that, send an image of the console in your browser (accessed with f12 key). there may be an error in there that’s useful

but this may end up being a cache/versioning issue…

Deleting site data didn't help, but
i installed mimiuchi v0.3.1
and here translation works, so it doesn't work in 3.2 ver
