qb desktop not launching after qbactivator #26

POS activation is all well and fine.

QB Desktop on the other hand refuses to run at all after qbactivator runs.
Tried with v23 and 22, same deal. Maybe user error over here?

To Reproduce

tried using qbactivator 0.20.2 to the current version
installed qb desktop fully like normal (you still need license # to install)
after install, ran qbactivator; says open quickbooks to finisg activation
QB doesn't want run at all -- exe executes than goes away quickly

Expected behavior
Should allow me to get to program to "Help > About" to finish activation

Windows 10 21h2
QB Desktop Pro/ Enterprise 22/23
