I am trying to understand what is the meaning of the numbers, 1, 2, 3 used in lemmas. They do not appear to mark different senses of the word. For example:

abnuo ab-nuo, ui, uiturus, 3. migom odbiti, uskratiti, odricati
aboleo ab-oleo, evi, itum, 2. uništiti, zatrti, istrijebiti
abolesco ab-olesco, evi, –, 3. nestati; iščeznuti
abominor ab-ominor, 1. željeti da prođe zlo znamenje; ne željeti; proklinjati

It's conjugation patterns, such as:

  • abomināre - I
  • abolēre - II
  • ābnuĕre - III
