Installing the flatpak package (on Debian GNU/Linux 12 (bookworm)) yields a warning about an end-of-life runtime required:

% flatpak install com.nextcloud.talk_1.0.0-rc.1_stable_x86_64.flatpak

I refused to install an outdated and probably insecure old runtime for now. Would have installed though if I would have gotten no such warning.

Describe alternatives you've considered

I would have preferred a Debian package, or even better installing through mainline Debian repo. 😉
An up to date flatpak would be okay though, if there's no other way.
