Is your feature request related to a problem?

gh user is currently written in bash and thus not portable to systems that don’t already have bash available.

What solutions have you considered?

To provide better cross compatibility, rewriting the tool in Go would allow binary distribution.

What alternatives have you considered?

Adding a disclaimer that bash is required or providing a pwsh distribution for windows.
