It'd be great to have a way to optionally exclude hidden files from the search performed by the "simple folder search" from #1194. From a cursory search detecting these files via Electron seems at least somewhat involved on Windows, but on Mac/Linux would only require checking the file name for a leading . character.
This is relevant for me because I want to have the extension find Desktop, Downloads, etc., but when I provide it my home directory to search it also finds a plethora of hidden directories.
Alternatively, if you're interested in having this be a non-optional default behavior, I'm happy to open a PR with a "check for leading . characters" check to the extension.
Thanks!
