we use https://github.com/Netflix/vizceral to generate the dependency graph. Since the project is archived, we should migrate to something not. This could be via another similar graph library, or using the same underlying fundamentals in a simplified way that only suits our UI.

In which context is the dependency graph used? Isn't a maven dependency tree enough?

@SamTV12345 sorry should have clarified, this is for the service dependency graph aggregated from trace data collected into zipkin. This isn't about the library dependency tree of the project build, which I agree with you about.
