Menuitem inside a menu group does not react on pressing return

Hello,

first i want to say how great your product is!

I have a list of menu groups with items. When I navigate to the individual group using the keyboard and press 'Enter', the submenu opens. I can then navigate through the individual items with the arrow keys. These are also highlighted in gray. However, when I press Enter, the link for the item does not open, but the menu group closes again.

The expected behavior would be that the link is clicked and not that the menu group is closed.

Is it possible to change the behavior so that the group remains open but the link is opened?
