duration time

Somtimes i saw an multiplikator like:

msg.duration = msg.payload.length * 0.2;

maybe to show a scroling text only once

but in case wenn the scrolltextdelay is a different as the default, it fits not so nice.

is there a nice math to solve this problem ?

ok i solved it for me.

const SCROLL_TEXT_DELAY = 75;

msg.duration = calculateDuration(msg.payload, SCROLL_TEXT_DELAY);

function calculateDuration(msgPayload, scrollTextDelay = 75) {
    const durationMs = (msgPayload.length + 8) * 4 * scrollTextDelay / 1000;
    return durationMs.toFixed(1);
}

it's not perfect i know, but fits nearly
