Frontpage loads almost 15MB of images

steps to reproduce

1. go to plone.de
2. open network tab
   -> almost 15MB of image payload is loaded on the frontpage
   -> we use a lot of PNGs (some of them have >2MB of size)
   -> we might use wrong image scales on some of the blocks (need to double check)

Today again loading time nightmare. Seems to be nothing in the proxy cache. https://plone.de/ Site is still loading while I write this comment.

Solution: make sure to preheat the cache after any rebuild of the site and actions on infrastructure site invalidating the cache. @fredvd any opinions on the infrastructure side of this challenge?
