Graphics not right after updating #341
Comments
Whoa, that's a new one. Do the big white blocks persist between reboots? I'm assuming that's an integrated Intel graphics machine? |
They do persist. I am pretty sure this one has the Intel + AMD Radeon R9 M370X. https://support.apple.com/kb/SP719?locale=en_US is where I got the model from. I can double check the exact build a little later. |
Oh wait… there is int an AMD installer, just an nvidia one… guess this is a legit bug then |
Did this ever get sloved for you? If so, what was the solution? So far all I've worked out is high resolution images and video cause the issue, lowering video quality to 720p fixes it as well as using a low res background image but only that that one issue i.e: 720p video doesn't have the issue but the white boxes are present on firefox menus etc. When plugging in the usb with the OS on I also get a white background around the installer GUI instead of the Pop wallpaper. |
How did you upgrade to 21.10? (Fresh install / Upgrade)
Was on beta, ran apt full-upgrade, then ran updates from pop shop, and also tried refresh is after letting the image update.
Issue/Bug Description:
the mostly white background and white box started after the full-upgrade. Nothing changed with additional updating.
Expected behavior:
No giant white areas.
Other Notes:
Other apps can open and look right.
