How did you upgrade to 22.04? (Fresh install / Upgrade)

I am booting pop-os_22.04_amd64_intel_38.iso downloaded from the website.

Issue/Bug Description:

I can't boot into the live image using UTM (qemu).

It gets stuck with an upside-down screen:

Steps to reproduce (if you know):

  • Using UTM 4.4.5

Display settings:

Network settings:

  • Boot using pci=nomsi (as suggested in other places) did not change the outcome

Expected behavior:

It should boot to desktop.

Other Notes:

  • Also tried with vmware-svga and it got stuck earlier on:

  • Also tried with VGA (pci=nomsi) and it ended up with a black screen after spending a long time waiting

  • With VGA (no boot flags), it got stuck here for a while, and then ended up with a blank screen.
