GTK3 applications temporarily remember set size upon spawning before resetting to default

If you spawn a GTK3 application such as the GTK3 version of PCManFM or GIMP 3 and then resize, close it and reopen it, it appears to remember it's old size temporarily before being reset to it's default size.
