Cosmic panels extend to edges upon doing so, which makes it very apparent in workspaces view.

How do I reproduce this bug?

Looks like it toggles the maximized state of the focused window. (Not the workspaces view surface.)

Yeah, it might make sense to disable certain key bindings like that when the workspaces view is open.

I shall try to reproduce.

Definitively does something...

I want to let you see my findings... however I've got difficulty recording my screen.

What I did was:

  1. have two or more windows on one workspace
  2. enter workspace view
  3. have your cursor on one of the windows
  4. notice that the window in question maximizes

How do I reproduce this bug?

@feikedonia I think the steps to reproduce this issue is like this:

  1. Have a floating panel/dock in your setting. And open an application window.
  2. Open Workspace View
  3. Use Super + M(the shortcut to maximize window)
  4. See the issue. The floating panels would extend to the edges of the screen & the gaps between panel & edges would be gone. Like what it usually happen when we maximize a window.

Using Super + M again would restore the original state of the panel.

Expected behavior:
The panels should stay in their original state, floating & with gaps in workspace & empty desktop view, if that's how the panel has been set up.
Maximize behavior for panels should only apply to application or other graphical window.
