Support Scala 2.12

It would be great to have support for Scala 2.12

Thank you for making this library. I can submit a pull request to bump the Spark version and set this to cross compile with Scala 2.12. Should be a relatively easy fix. Would you be wiling to merge it in and publish if I send you a PR?

@MrPowers Maybe you should fork this repo as it seems to abandoned.
I also in very much need for this change as it holds me back from upgrading to spark 3.x.x
Is it possible?

@l-gelman thanks for the ping, but I'm actually not working on Spark so much these days, so probably won't get to this.
