I appreciated this project during the birth of angular 2+ and next versions.
I come back after a few months (I did backend projects)...
and nothing happened..
is it dead ?

For me personally, there is no reason for not using the CLI.
CLI has everything that this starter has plus a lot of extra things.
CLI team always optimize every configuration, puts the latest ideas on it and everything works like a charm.
To port the CLI configuration here, I think it is better for all of us to simply use CLI.
One of the cool things of the CLI is being able to update the configuration without manual changes. If there is a new CLI version, you update the npm package and you are good to go. With this, you need to come back here time to time to see "what I did" and how can you port it back to your application.
