Plugin does not seem to be executed

I installed the plugin on a fresh new WP site on localhost, according to the instructions (both on Qlik side as well as WP. I see the plugin, can configure it as documented, create a new post, insert [qlik_saas_object id=”selections” height=”50px”] to check if the communication between WP and Qlik is working but nothing happens after publishing the post. The post loads ultra fast, as if no background action was taking place, and inspecting the browser dev tools also does not show any external network traffic, error messages
