3d slicer extension issue with label maps

when attempting to run the 3d slicer extension using a default label map an error is thrown requesting specifically a a vtksegmentation instead of a vtklabelmap. this can be worked around by creating a new segmentation and using a thresholding tool on the original but I believe that there should be handled by default
