29.2 binary release #374
Comments
I don't think emacs-mac 29.2 has been released by the upstream developer yet (because it's still on the "work" branch rather than master: https://bitbucket.org/mituharu/emacs-mac/branches/) |
Yes, as @frou says, there is no release from upstream for 29.2 (and the 29.3 yesterday) yet. We can see commits and merges into the upstream I will try to make a Github Action task to build a weekly/bi-weekly snapshot and put them into pre-release. However this will be limited by CPU type and macOS version of Github Action runners. |
The author has made commits for 29.2 and 29.3 to the "work" branch. I'm not sure whether that means the work is incomplete, but at least it's a sign of his still working on the project. |
Similar to last time (29.1) probably. He is a busy professor so we need to be patient. |
We should maybe just skip to 29.3, given the security patch (once it's available in upstream) |
I'd built 29.3 from the snapshot of upstream bitbucket (already merged to 29.3 on "work" branch), or original 29.3 source with 29.1-mac-10.0 patch distributed at ftp://ftp.math.s.chiba-u.ac.jp/emacs/ (will have one conflict point, but easy to resolve). |
Would be so nice to get any of the 30.0.9x ;-) |
Any chances to see the 29.2 binary release for those who do not use Homebrew?
