- 1 cup refrigerator soft butter
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 1/2 cups flour
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup chopped walnuts
- to roll tea cakes in powered sugar
Cream together butter, powdered sugar and vanilla extract. In a separate bowl combine flour, salt and walnuts. Gradually add the flour mixture to the creamed mixture. Mix until well blended. Make 1-inch balls with the dough and place on cookie sheet. Bake at 400° for 10 to 12 min. Do not let them brown. Remove from oven. Treat these gently as they break easily. Roll in powdered sugar. When finished, roll in powdered sugar a second time. Cool a wire rack. Then do the same for the next batches.
