My day job uses SuiteCRM and my night-job another instance of SuiteCRM.

My mail goes through the same outlook.

When archiving, it would be great to be able to choose by means of a pull-down to which of the 2 the message will be archived

OK, this is possible and I can see that in cases like yours it would be useful.

So, in the manual archive dialogue, you might have one pane for each CRM server your Outlook installation knows about, and you could choose which Users/Contacts/Leads/Accounts/whatever on which server(s) to archive against. That's possible; but currently the architecture only knows about one CRM server back end and in my current plans for version 4 I had not thought about multiple CRM servers. It would mean that we would have to cache for each item synced from CRM which CRM instance it had been synced from; and where an item was synced to multiple CRM instances we'd need to hold a dictionary of its ids in each.

So as I say it's possible, and while we're still planning the architecture of version 4 it could be considered, but it's quite a big change and unless lots of users are looking for it it's unlikely to get priority.

Two points:

  1. I'm really keen not to build any more new features in version 3, so if you were thinking of submitting a pull request wait until we have version 4 released and fork that.

  2. If this is going to wait for me to do, it might wait a while. I mostly build what SalesAgility ask me to build. If you persuade them that it's worth building that puts it up the priority ladder.

Would compensation/bounty for the effort move it up the priority ladder ?
