@jhoblitt's minimal list:

Requirements

  • complete reverse proxy functionality (easy initial setup)
  • customer supplied TLS certs
  • manual (API/cli) cache expiration
  • ipv4/v6 connectivity

Nice to haves

  • raw log exporting (eg, to an s3 bucket)
  • metric service integration (new relic, datadog, etc.)

Confirmed with Fastly that we'd quality for https://www.fastly.com/open-source

Since 90% of our content is served from Drupal it probably makes sense to require that there be an out of the box Drupal plugin to handle cache purges.
