Improvement on automating exposure time change

Is there a way to change the exposure time of selected detectors on the queue server?
This happened during XES beamtime when we wanted to set a sequence overnight, and the exposure time needed for different scans was different. I tried 'xafs_scan' plan, because over there you had options of putting exposure time to selected detector. But this failed, probably it couldn't figure out how to set default exposure time for eiger detector?

Once the mv plan is fixed, how about doing a bps.mv or bps.abs_set on the relevant signals? For the Eiger i think this is drv.acquire_period and drv.exposure_time maybe?
