Become a sponsor to Bart Lannoeye
Hey Github'ers!
My name is Bart Lannoeye and I have been writing code for close to 20 years now and I'm still loving it. It all started writing small (and large) programs on the TI-83 plus, not everyone starts with BASIC or similar after all. Not long after that I created my very first website and started to automate tasks. During my studies I've had the chance to have a great mentor (who I met while playing games when I was 17-18, who says games are bad) and my programming career got kickstarted.
My very first CEO was sponsoring a local user group and 2 months after graduation I was giving a presentation for 90 persons (on Live Mesh, which was followed up by SkyDrive/OneDrive). I started writing blog posts and giving value back to the community. Getting more experience, my contributions changed to more regular talks, StackOverflow and getting into open-source. Over the years, I've contributed to quite a few libraries from small 3rd party to large Microsoft repositories through documentation, coding, reviewing PRs and handling issues.
I love building libraries and designing good APIs, after all I hope my code can help others solving their problems and bad code is a burden instead of help. Your sponsorship will help me not only maintain the projects I am involved with, but also help support my many other community activities.
If you are an individual user and have enjoyed some of the libraries I've shared, or benefited from my other community activities, please consider donating as a sign of appreciation.
If you run a business and are using my work in your company products, it makes business sense to sponsor further development: it ensures the project that your product relies on stays healthy and actively maintained as these open source projects take a lot of our free time.
I'm living in Flanders (Dutch part of Belgium) and some say we're very modest. In several occasions I've heard friends and colleagues say 'Bart, you should have gotten this recognition a long time ago' and most likely they're right. So a few months after 'the rest', I'm finally creating this sponsor account, allowing you to give me a pat on my back.

SelectThis doesn't seem much, but it adds up fast. After all don't we say "If I would have $1 for every time … I would be rich". And it shows me your appreciation.

SelectI don't drink coffee (yes I do get mocked for that), but this will buy me a coke. Fuel for code.

SelectI spend a lot of evenings reading, learning, coding or away from home to help the community. This tier will buy the wife a good dinner for all her support in what I do. Thank you for supporting my work!

SelectThis covers a single night in a (less expensive) hotel/BnB, allowing me to go speak at local user groups in the neighbor countries who don't have a travel budget. Thanks a lot for your immense support!
