Improvements to history functionality in Navigation pane.
New Feature/Solution
The two things I'd love to see here are the ability to remove either individual or all entries from history on-demand (preferably a "delete" button for single items and "clear" to clear all items), and the ability to search (or somehow filter, although I think a simple search would be sufficient for my needs but more advanced filters would be awesome) the history list. Perhaps a simple search bar above the history pane - if this search could provide type-ahead that would be even better, but that would just be a "nice to have".
My reasoning is sometimes I may need to jump around between various pages and I stay on them long enough for them to be added to history, but once I'm done with those few pages I have no need to go back to them again so they just end up drowning out other pages that I do need to jump back to which are now further down the list. I did increase the default list size and tweaked the "time before adding to history" setting a bit to my liking, but this scenario still remains an issue (the longer list at least means the other pages won't get purged entirely but they get bumped way down which then requires extra clicks to access them again, reducing the efficiency that this feature provides).
The search functionality would mitigate this a bit, but I think it would be great to have the search feature anyway in addition to the ability to clear items on-demand.

Additional Context
I did see that both of these ideas were mentioned in a comment on a previous thread regarding Navigator pane improvements which is now closed (#793). If there are already plans to implement this in the future then please excuse my duplicate request, but if not (or if it was on hold waiting to see if there would be interest) - please consider this request as a vote towards that to show my interest 😃
Thank you!!
