Are there plans to port this to 2-1-stable?

For now, I am quite busy with work. Sorry for that. But, there isn't any plan as such. If there is any mass requirement, I'll definitely update it to 2-1-stable. Else you could update and send a PR, I'll be happy to merge and release. :)

Hey there, I shall be working on the upgrade for 2-1-stable on 3rd week of this month. So, I just wanted to check if you have already worked on it? So, I can just merge the code? Otherwise, will work.

@suryart , i forked your Gem and made some changes to make it work in Spree 2-1, if you wish i can make a pull request.

@gaaady all you need to do is to remove the attr_accessible lines, and change the version in case if you're doing it.

However, I'll push the new version next week if possible.

This Gem is maybe obsolete. Sorting within taxons is now possible natively since Spree 2.2.0: spree/spree@280041f

Have a look at this discussion, too: spree/spree#4023

Here's a video explaining how it works in the GUI: https://s3.amazonaws.com/ryanbigg_screencasts/taxon-product-sorting.mp4
