verify the time.Now behavior with mongo client

Bson decoder converts this to and from UTC by default while dealing with the DB. It just works as it is.

I don't see where the time.Local is set to time.UTC and afaik mongo uses time.Local. Please verify and even if that's the case, be more explicit about it
