The project is run by the community. If you submit a PR one of us will review it and merge it. Just take a look at a previous commit to see what files you need to modify to support a new version of rails.

While I do agree about community projects and contributions, wouldn't it be just simpler to have someone with write access to the repo update the 4 lines there https://github.com/thuss/standalone-migrations/blob/master/standalone_migrations.gemspec#L67 and have a new version published in the RubyGems repo? I don't think I would be saving much time to anyone by forking the repo and doing that
