Crate that digs through ground below it (:arrow_down:) seems like kind of a dud.
A crate that creates walls could be good (have to make sure it's not easy to make level unwinnable with this though)
Think of some other ideas. More variety!

A crate that drops a bubble shield that will protect from one attack. (kills attacking enemy?)
Maybe enemies can pick up the bubble shield if you don't get it and survive a crate/blast/etc.
A crate that releases fire. When each turn passes, fire marks the square its on as 'burnt'*, kills things in adjacent unburnt tunnels, creates more fire in those tunnels then dies out. Very dangerous. Too powerful? If it's too powerful we can introduce a 'rare' crate system for spectacular effects.
*Probably want to visually indicate burnt state of tiles.
