Important note about an upgrade to the latest version for those Y's that use Carnation theme.
Since, we have updated a lot of carnation templates, you could have regression issues after update to the last OpenY.
- Example 1: Before November release, Carnation theme was changing the parent div of Banner paragraph from content to header with the help of js script. We’ve fixed that bad practice and now Banner renders as a normal block by Drupal theme system.
But if you still use old templates at your custom theme, you still have this issue. In addition to that, old js code could break your banner display. - Example 2. Breadcrumb’s logic was based on another js script. You could have issues with breadcrumbs if you still use old style at your theme.
- Example 3. We’ve improved a lot accessibility for Carnation, but this changes will not appear untill you use old files in your folder.
The source of the problem is connected with your custom project theme that usually creates by the copying of carnation files to your custom theme in the project. This means that files at your folder override’s original from carnation, even after OpenY update.
Here is the list of templates that were changed at Carnation since November:
