I am getting the following when running canISayByeByeJetifier.

Would you consider update to AndroidX?

Looking for the fix too. Unfortunately, it seams the library is abandoned, last commit was on early 2020.
The solution probably would be to fork it and manually migrate from Android Support Library to AndroidX, make your own from scratch or follow this guide: https://developer.android.com/guide/topics/ui/floating-action-button
