• Frontier

• We have scripts for building Ascent with HIP Support on Crusher and that were tested on Frontier. We plan to get these in our docs

• Docs Updates

• We updated building docs to provide an end to end example script that builds Ascent and TPLs w/o spack

• We will add a HIP variant of this script as well and maybe a CUDA version.

• Spack Update

  • Moved to use latest Spack
  • Done updating to use VTK-M 1.8

  • Stuck on ROCm (appears to be a spack build env issue)
    • We are pivoting to build a CI container with simple script instead of spack.

• Great Amalgamation Progress Report

  • These final steps are paused until we have ROCm CI testing in place:
  • Still working on merge for long standing expressions refactor
  • Right before 0.9.0 release, we will finish with some reorg of dir structures.

• Some AMD GPU flags from our stack are leaking into AMR Wind. We should track this down, Hank has a concrete example and will create a ticket.
