NixOS-based distribution made for pentesting, emphasizing comprehensive support for users at various stages of their journey. It facilitates user learning and connects them to a wealth of hacking resources, enhancing their knowledge and growth in the cybersecurity field. The distribution's modular and declarative nature makes it suitable for a wide range of users, from professionals to amateurs and other profiles.

Athena OS, code name "Nyx" (ancient Greek: Νύξ "Night"), is the new revamp of Athena OS based on Nix/NixOS!

Finally Athena OS ended his long journey, migrating to NixOS, being a fully declarative system, user-friendly and described as "OS as Code" !

🟠 This is a pre-release version.
Athena OS needs still some resources to be implemented. Ongoing activities are:

  • GUI Installer implementation
  • Ongoing submission of cybersecurity tools
  • Converting custom tools and code-base to the Rust programming language
  • Implementation of defined icon set and cursors for specific themes
  • Integration with Windows Subsystem for Linux (WSL)

Athena OS is continuously evolving. We are committed to enhancing it with more resources, innovative features, and regular upgrades.

If you value our efforts, please consider contributing to the distribution or making a donation to Athena OS.
Your support will enable us to invest further in the distribution, making it even better, together!
