OCTRA is an annotation tool for the transcription of audio files. It supports the following features:

• Online and Local Mode
• Auto-saving transcription progress
• Defining segments
• Export and Import of other data formats like AnnotJSON, Textgrid, CTM
• Different annotation editors for other purposes. The current editors are:
  • Editor without a signal display
  • Linear Editor
  • 2D-Editor
• Support for noise markers in the form of pictures which can be inserted in the transcript
• Support for many shortcuts for audio playback and noise markers
• Support for multi-language guidelines
• Validation of the transcript using guidelines
• Localization

Administrators and project leaders can find more information in the section Administrator's Manual. For project leaders especially the files projectconfig.json and guidelines.json are very important. Project leaders have their own section: Project leader's Manual.
