GameGuru Repository Introduction
As suggested on the welcome screen, if you just want to create 3D games quickly, you can jump right into the Steam version of GameGuru and start making games, and for those who want to go a little deeper, welcome to the repo! The purpose of this repository on GitHub is to provide the avid GameGuru user with improved access to more of the engine and greater influence on its future development. To this end, we now provide:
You can now download a copy of the very latest source code to the GameGuru engine, complete with instructions on how to gather the prerequisites, dependencies and other files required to compile, test and run your own implementation of the GameGuru executable files.
At any time you can review current issues, report new ones and for moderators and collaborations, even tick off bugs that have been fixed, or edit them with additional details to keep the work of solving critical issues alive. No more digging around forums and social feeds for whether a bug has been reported, or how to report one, as it's now all under one roof.
The very best aspect of our repository access is that we can now outsource the work required on the engine to pretty much anyone who wants to get involved, either for free or for a boon. Instead of subjecting a single overworked individual to the task of writing an entire graphics and game engine, UI, documentation, support, and testing, this great task can now be delegated across a range of collaborators and giving the development the acceleration it needs.
It should be made clear that this is NOT an open source project and all material is copyright The Game Creators, and any work submitted to the repository is automatically given over to TGC to use for any purpose and all I.P and copyright transferred over to TGC. You may use this repository to help improve GameGuru, to work on freelance contracts from TGC and also to modify and improve GameGuru for your own game. It is expressly forbidden to use this source code to create any kind of maker product (i.e. game maker, app maker, level maker). If there are any doubts about the usage rights, you can contact us directly at [email protected]
