Simple python unit testing tool. A simple test file to test function: add(x,y): return x + y looks like this: from tester import test, runTests testAdd(): test("Add numbers", 8, add, 3, 5) runTests(testAdd) There are 3 components to the test, the test runner (runTest), the test group (testAdd), and the individual tests (test("Add numbers", args)) The test runner will run all passed comma separated test groups. The test group consists of a series of tests that are related to each other in some way, eg testing different cases of the same function Each test takes a string for the name, the expected result, the function to be tested, and a number of args and kwargs to be passed to the function being tested When executing a test file, the command line arguments is either blank, in which case there is no detail beyond what tests pass and fail, is a comma separated list of test group numbers to return expected and function returned values should a test fail, or is "all", in which case all failed tests will return expected and function returned values. eg, if the above defined test is in file add_tests.py then run: python3 add_tests.py 1 to see the results of the first test group (only in case of failures)
