Simulation of a circular plate of radius a, thickness h, subjected to a uniform pressure q [Nm−2] over a circular disk of radius b with a total applied load P = πb2q . The plate is simply supported on a finite number N ≥ 2 of supports along r = a. Those equidistant supports are situated at polar angles θ = 0, γ, 2γ, etc. The angle between two consecutive supports is γ = 2π/N. The problem is not axisymmetric.
