I don't know if this is a great idea as implemented.

Would love to see this implemented. I just installed this on Win10 expecting to be able to run something like rustup update. Can't you just always run the command in a shell with stdin/out piped back? I guess by running sh on linux and cmd on windows you've covered most of the cases, correct me if I'm wrong.
