If I want want workspace 8 to be to the left of workspace 1 (and therefore be workspace one) I'd like to just be able to drag it across.

And actually, I'd like to be able to assign a keyboard shortcut to move the current workspace left or right in the ordering.

Unless there is a way to do it that I haven't found? I've been assuming it is just something not implemented yet and I've been manually rearranging things, but with more than a couple of workspaces that becomes impossibly cumbersome.

Thank you!

I think this is really important for anyone who uses the "Switch to workspace" keyboard shortcuts, because if you cannot easily put everything on the same workspace consistently, you have mental overhead of thinking about which workspace something is on every time you want to switch to it.

For example if I have an application by itself on workspace 2 I can switch to it there without thinking, and I can switch to things on other workspaces as easily. But if I close it, that workspace disappears, workspaces 3, 4, 5... move over to 2, 3, 4..., when I reopen it I can put it on workspace 2 so that I can without thinking switch to workspace 2, but now I'd have to move everything else across one workspace manually, because I want to "switch to workspace" without mental overhead on the applications on those workspaces.

If someone tells me I can do this in a simple way already I'll feel silly but very grateful. 😄
