this version corresponds to Naskh 1.3.0 and Qaloon 1.3.0, and the updated warsh versions (1.3.0 and 2.0.0).

Extra Warsh Updates

  • new tajweed images!
  • madani counting (6214 verses)
  • now uses the Azraq method
  • shows warsh text in translation mode instead of hafs text
  • 6 new reciters - Husary, Mustapha Gharbi, Layyoun Elkouchi, Abderrahmane Benmoussa, Omar Qazabri, Yassin al Jazairy
  • sheikh Ibrahim Doussary is now gapless

Important - there were 2 warsh updates - a version 1.3.0 and a version 2.0.0. Because of changing the images, the intention was to bundle the images with the apk. Because we're exceeding the limit, we needed to switch to app bundles. Moreover, because old devices usually have a difficult time installing very large apks, decided to split into 2 apks that are (almost) identical -

  • Warsh 1.3.0 - erases and requires downloading the new tajweed images to continue - available on api levels 14-20.
  • Warsh 2.0.0 - erases and copies (from within the apk/aab) tajweed images and doesn't require a download to continue - minSdk 21.

In the very near future, Quran for Android itself will move to minSdk 21 in sha' Allah as well.

Special thanks to too many people for making this warsh update happen - may Allah accept from them all, and apologies if I lost anyone - but especially wanted to thank brothers @hiyaro, @benomaire, @nacer80, and brother Hicham Bouzekri and his friends. JazakumAllah khairan!
