Here are some notes on open issues with draft-saintandre-sip-xmpp-presence.

  1. Use <show/> from RFC 6121, with [available], away, and dnd ("busy") as the values to support.

  2. Make a note that dnd actually means busy, and does NOT mean that a server or client must/shall block incoming traffic.

  3. If we define a basic subset of common availability states (the kind of stuff that goes in the XMPP <status/> or PIDF <note/>), do so in a separate document covering very minimal rich presence / activities.

  4. Remove Section 6 because it's not a matter of mapping, it's just a pass-through of information from the SIP side to the XMPP side.
