- Chronos by Nicholas Calibey
Chronos is an event-data framework for greenfield applications that are used to capture user events in the browser and then store them in two time-series databases. It works by setting a configuration file and then compiling a JavaScript tracker which sends the data to an API server built in NodeJS. The data is then passed to Apache Kafka to allow for a decoupled streaming architecture with high throughput and then stored into TimescaleDB for data exploration and PipelineDB for constant aggregation of data. Chronos is deployed with Docker and provides a CLI to easily interact with the system.
