Understanding HLS Format

• What is HLS?: HLS (HTTP Live Streaming) is a format designed primarily for fast playback and copyright protection. Typically, HLS is not meant for direct downloading.

Downloading Your HLS Video

• Converting HLS to MP4: We've developed a feature that allows you to convert HLS videos into MP4 format, which can be downloaded.
• Manual Conversion Process: This conversion is not automatic. It requires manual initiation and the time taken for conversion depends on your CPU's power and the length of the video.

Steps to Convert and Download

1. Go to Videos Manager: Navigate to your video manager.
2. Initiate Download: Find the video you wish to download and click on the download button located on the left side of the video. This will open a new window.
3. Choose Your Option: In the new window, you will see up to three buttons:
   • Download MP4: Converts the video to MP4 and downloads it.
   • Download MP3: Extracts and downloads the audio in MP3 format.
   • Delete: Available if a converted file already exists and allows you to delete it.
4. Conversion and Download: If there’s no existing MP4 or MP3, clicking the respective button will start the conversion process. The file will automatically download once the conversion is complete.
